Sorry Girls, He's Taken

A fun layout in honor of V-Day!

Sorry_hes_taken (Hidden Journaling Reads: Here I am, driving in the car behind you, feeling very frumpy in my seven-month-pregnant state, my hair dishevled, no make-up, and stuffing crackers in my face in hopes of making it home without puking on the front seat. Something next to me catches my attention: some crazy girl jumps out of her car and comes knocking on your window and I know exactly what she's doing. I want to jump out of the car and yell, "um...hello...he's TAKEN!" But, of course, feeling oh-so-lovely in my sweats, I sit there and stuff another cracker in my face. And then I see you hold up your left hand and point out your wedding ring. And I have to smile. Sorry girly, I WIN! He's TAKEN! By ME! Seven months pregnant, lovely me! SO THERE!) Patterned Paper by Autumn Leaves. Chipboard letters by Basic Grey. Photography by Me! Technique: I pressed my chipboard letters into a chalk ink pad to color them.

Kidney Stone Free...

...and about time! The surgery went well. I spent 3 extra hours (after being prepped) waiting for them to come and get me, but once they got me and added a sedative to my IV, I was out cold and woke up with a lovely souvenier to take home. Pictures from the surgery and my stone in a lovely little test tube. For some reason I found it seriously funny that they would take a pictures to send home. Not that you can really tell what the pictures are of until someone explains them (my hubby explained them to me). Now I just need to decide if they are scrapbook page worthy yet...could be more funny than the photos themselves!

Kidney_stone

I'm hoping while I'm stuck at home recovering these next few days that I'll be able to get some scrapbook projects done, but we'll see. So far today I've made it as far as the couch. I rented some chick flicks yesterday, as I knew that's probably all I could handle today. I saw "Becoming Jane" and "No Reservations" both awesome, {and clean} movies that I would highly recommend.

Thanks again to those that have e-mailed and called with well-wishes. They are very much appreciated! :)

Mandi's Health Update

For those who have e-mailed and called with well wishes, thanks! I really appreciate it! Just wanted to update you, I am having surgery tomorrow afternoon to remove the kidney stone, unless by some miracle it passes over night. (They gave me less than a 20% chance!) I'll update you when I am home and recovered enough from the anethesia to type!

ER Visit #2 and FINALLY Some {good} News

I started having severe kidney pain (again) this afternoon and after 2 hours decided it best to head to the ER again. I can be totally fine and then all the sudden this pain hits. Usually it lets up, but lately, it has been worse every time and progressively gets worse as the day moves on. Anyway, we finally got a doctor that decided we've spent enough time and money only to get the same answer and no results. So, I had my very first CT scan tonight and guess what...we finally figured out what has been wrong with me for the last 4 months. I have a 7 ml kidney stone that has been stuck there obstructing my kidney this whole time. According to the doctor, I'm lucky I haven't become septic yet. He also said he's hospitalized patients for lesser infections, but because we are cash patients, he let me come home tonight, and I have an appointment bright and early tomorrow to see a urologist and get this stone removed. As it's looking, I get to have scope surgery to have it removed. Ask me if I'm excited...Actually, in a way I am. I might have a clean bill of health for awhile! :) Unfortunately, my Hall of Fame entry is due tomorrow and I am obviously not going to be getting that done anytime soon. But, I did get some great pages/projects finished because of it. So, as soon as I'm up and running again I'll post my layouts.
